Our team,
the base of our success
WAIA was founded in 2021 in Rosario, Argentina, when Harald Valdivieso, an electronics engineer, and Juan Cruz Sveda, a business administrator, set out to build a software factory from the Fisherton neighborhood. What started as a two-person team is now an established company with active operations in Argentina, the United States, Spain and Peru.
We operate across three fronts: e-commerce — we're the only OpenCart Gold Partner in Argentina —, custom software development, and technical staff augmentation for companies that need to scale fast. Our clients include an agency that manages Marriott's Caribbean and Latin America accounts.
We were among the first in the region to put artificial intelligence into real production: in 2021 we built a machine-learning system to detect brain tumors, and today we apply that same expertise so our e-commerce clients sell more and pay lower transaction fees.
Our goal isn't subtle: to consolidate across Latin America, the United States and Europe, and become the first tech company from Rosario to reach unicorn status.
